Jesus seemed to be often skeptical of crowds. In Luke 14: 27, he warned them, saying: "And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple." He continued His admonition with the illustration of building a tower, challenging the crowd to count the cost of completing the work.
The international ministry of TVSEMINARY has spiritual influence in more than 150 countries. Our ability to equip leaders and laypeople alike both theologically and with practical Christian application fuels their kingdom success in ministry centers, churches, home Bible studies, church planting efforts, children's homes, and discipleship training hubs across the globe. Our investment in all people to provide the skills to live and lead well is our most strategic investment for our courses' long-term impact.
Central Asia is primarily an Islam country, where even owning a Bible can be a punishable offense.
TVSEMINARY often incorporates nationals from closed countries for many of its course translation projects, secretly setting up unique dubbing equipment in resident locations and training these dedicated believers on our dubbing process. Recently a group of Uzbek believers added to our course list in Uzbek by translating two of our courses.
CENTRAL ASIA
The cost of following Jesus for the Chinese continues to be great. While working with a Chinese translator on the translation of our courses, Foundations of Evangelism and Church Planting, the project was temporarily halted due to continuing efforts to stop evangelistic work in China. TVSEMINARY is successful in reaching into other closed countries, so together with our Chinese friends, we are developing plans on how to complete and distribute these courses. 1.2 billion people speak Chinese and TVSEMINARY has five other courses carefully selected for evangelistic focus in this language group.
CHINESE
In 2016 by request of Christian leaders in Brazil, TVSEMINARY began its first translation project into Portuguese. Already available on our YouTube channels in English and Russian, Dr. Duane Elmers course on Cross-Cultural Communication was selected. All didactical materials were translated, and video lectures were dubbed over into Portuguese, and the course is available on our Moodle educational platform.
LATIN AMERICA
Realizing the need to preserve its institution's theological integrity, TVSEMINARY thoughtfully selects its teachers, and the US continues to be a vital source for course material. Professors and alumni from esteemed colleges such as Dallas Theological Seminary in Texas and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Illinois are two of the prominent establishments with which some of our professors are associated.
